Unpaid Parental Leave

For paternity leave, unpaid parental leave, childbirth leave, menstrual leave etc., our employees can assess their own needs and apply accordingly. We will grant leave in accordance the local laws.

Workplace Maternal Health Seminars

After an employee’s pregnancy is confirmed, the department manager shall proactively notify our Health Management team for prenatal and postnatal care conducted by in-house nurses. Following the Operation Procedures for Female Laborer Maternal Health Protection, we also perform a hazard identification and assessment, work suitability arrangements, risk classification management and tracing, to ensure the physical and mental health of female workers during the childbearing, pregnancy, postnatal and breastfeeding periods. Our In-house nurses are also tasked with building a mother-friendly workplace environment and enhancing the physical and mental health of the childbearing- age employees through pregnancy care interviews and workplace breastfeeding and milk collection hygiene education.

Health Management

  • Health Checkups for New Employees: Including subsidies for general physical examinations and special medical examinations, as well as the evaluation by our in-house nurses for job selection.
  • Health Checkups for Current Employees: Annual health checkups (cancer screening, ultrasound, ECG, etc.) are free of charge.
  • Health Management: Employee health classification management, occupational medicine doctor consultation, follow-up treatment, and follow-up tracking and management.

Questionnaire survey: The human resources department has set up various complaint channels, including complaint mailboxes, sexual harassment prevention mailboxes, labor rights, emails, and telephone calls. On-the-spot interviews and assessments, referrals to psychiatrists or psychological counselors are arranged as necessary, and a case is filed for follow-up. In addition, the annual "Employee Survey" questionnaire is used to screen out the medium and high risk list, arrange one-on-one interviews with doctors for evaluation, and refer to psychiatrists, psychological counselors or other medical channels if necessary.

  • Grape King Bio has adopted an occupational safety and health management system and has implemented relevant health management plans, which include Management Procedures for Human Factor Hazards Prevention, Operation Procedures for Female Laborer Maternal Health Protection, Operation Procedures for Illnesses Caused by Abnormal Workloads Prevention, and Planning Procedures for Labor Rights Illegal Damages Prevention. We have comprehensively implemented the four major programs for labor health protection and perform continuous reviews to improve them. The implementation progress is also reported to the Occupational Safety and Health Committee regularly.
  • Under the collaboration of consultant doctors, in-house nurses, and occupational safety personnel, on-site workplace inspections and surveys for high-risk personnel and departments are conducted, and hazard assessment operations are performed. Related prevention measures are also implemented, including education and training or opinions for engineering improvement measures.
  • We evaluate and implement various health protection measures and job suitability arrangements for pregnant employees and other physically and mentally challenged colleagues.
  • Medical offices are set up in each plant where the nursing staff provides emergency trauma treatment, health consultation, and various health promotion activities. The in-house occupational medicine doctor also provides a variety of services such as health seminars, health education, and employee health consultation.

In addition to regulatory requirements, the company employs occupational specialists for in-house services once a month for two hours to provide health management and health promotion services such as health consultation, health care, pregnancy and lactation care and consultation, workplace visits, work injury assessment and consultation, workload assessment and return-to-work assessment, etc. The total number of employees serviced by full-time nurses in 2021 is approximately 107.

  • The Health Passport allows employees to record their body and health changes, contextualize the meaning of various health test values, and enhance their ability to manage their own health.
  • All employees are encouraged to exercise regularly; in addition, cash and health points rewards are also offered to promote healthy behaviors.
  • An aerobic exercise teacher is hired to instruct the employees on proper exercise methods and techniques to avoid exercise injuries.
  • Regular first aid provider training sessions enable the trained employees to support the accident and injury management in the plant.
  • With the cooperation of the company’s Sustainable Development, ESG Committee and local health care agencies, Grape King Bio conducts “Community Health Promotion Activities” to promote health principles to community residents and assists in the organization of health screening activities including BMI monitoring, waist circumference, body fat, and weight measurement.
