Partnering to Protect Taiwan's Endemic Species: Launch of the Agehana Maraho (Broad-tailed Swallowtail Butterfly) Restoration Collaboration
To safeguard the Agehana maraho (Broad-tailed Swallowtail Butterfly)—a precious and extremely rare species endemic to Taiwan—the Shei-Pa National Park Administration and Grape King Bio Ltd. signed a "Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Habitat Restoration for the Agehana maraho" on June 16, 2024. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Director-General Wang Cheng-chi of the National Park Service and personally signed by Grape King Chairman Andrew Tseng, officially launching this public-private conservation initiative.
This partnership demonstrates a shared determination between the public and private sectors to promote biodiversity and ecological sustainability. By channeling corporate resources into the conservation of Taiwan’s endangered species, this collaboration sets a prime example for future conservation partnerships.
